In the early 1930's, Carey Cloud created the single column cartoon Down Yonder, with Luke Barker as the fence rail philosopher from the hills. The popular cartoon was put on the radio in serial form and was heard three times a week. Luke Barker's voice was played by C. Carey Cloud.
