C. Carey Cloud » Cracker Jack » Acrobatic Clown

Acrobatic Clown The Acrobatic Clown, is one of the first toys made for Cracker Jack, by C. Carey Cloud. Made in the late 1930's, of paper printed with green and red ink. This early Cracker Jack toy was the inspiration for future Cracker Jack prizes.

Five years later, a new version of the Acrobatic Clown was created. Like this clown, they also used a toothpick to twirl the clown, were made of paper, were printed in red and green ink.

He also created four different Swinging Characters, based on the design of this Acrobatic Clown. There was a monkey, a parrot, a skeleton, and a frog.

Over twenty years later, the paper swinging toys evolved into plastic, as can be seen in his Polyethylene Acrobatic Twirlers.

Forty years after their creation, C. Carey Cloud demonstrates to the world, his Acrobatic Clown.
Proving yet again, that one can never be too old to play with toys, especially a Cracker Jack prize.
