If you are wise as the old owl you can do this in less than 10 minutes. Press out and lay 6 of the 8 numbers in the blank spaces so that they will add to 15 horizontal, vertical and diagonal without lifting any number after it has been placed. Try it.

The trick to this puzzle, is that since the puzzle already has an 8, 5, and 2, that you wouldn't be able to use those numbers again. Why? Because if you had two 8's in the puzzle, that would equal 16, and that is larger than 15. You can't have two 5's, because then you'd need a third 5 to equal 15. You can't have two 2's, because the 3rd number would have to be an 11 for all 3 to equal 15. So right there we can eliminate 8, 5, and 2 from the numbers we can use. There is a 5 and a 2 in the punch out numbers, so we know not to use them. After that, it's just a matter of arranging the other numbers so that all numbers equal 15, horizontally, vertically, and diagonally.
