In the early 1950's C. Carey Cloud created 12 Plastic Standing Characters for Cracker Jack, he often referred to them as wood cuts as the figures look like the were carved from wood. There are two versions of his characters, the examples shown on this page have an oval base, which are smaller than their larger cousins which are Plastic Standing Characters with a rectangle base.
