Captain Kidd's Treasure Chest

There were two versions of pirates in
Captain Kidd's Treasure Chest.
The picture, above left, is from
Lucky Pieces From Captain Kidd's Treasure Chest, was part of an ice cream premium. The pirates were printed on individual cards, measuring 2¾" by 3½". Each card has a large letter printed on it, the letter in the card above is 'E'. When you had enough letters to spell the word P-I-R-A-T-E, you would get a Pirate Chest of Ice Cream free.
The picture, above right, is from
Captain Kidd and His Rugged Pirates Fresh From Candy Island was a promotion for New Orleans Confections in 1946-1947. Instead of being on individual cards, these pirates came on one large sheet.
